Customer Care Representative
I decided to leave the ‘hustle and bustle’ of busy corporate management life on the East coast and move West to Kingman, AZ on Christmas of 2003. An interesting journey across the country with the whole clan in tow: New born baby girl (4 mths), daughter (7 yrs), 5 Horses, 2 Dogs, 2 Cats and a Chicken (“Gumbo”) to begin our new life in “The Wild West”. In 2004 I began my new chapter in Animal Welfare, It was then, that I realized my passion for helping animals in need within our community. I became Shelter Operations Manager at our local animal shelter for 5 years, then Western AZ Mgr/Volunteer for Empty Bowl Pet Food Pantry for 1 year, Volunteered at multiple local animal nonprofits (501c3) to assist in re-homing or socializing animals. Worked for 1 year as an Animal Control Officer in Bullhead City where I would respond to Animal Care & Welfare calls for service as well as educating the local citizens of the existing laws and services available within their community and enforce the local animal ordinances. Transport any aggressive, sick/injured or stray animals found within Bullhead City limits to the shelter or veterinary facility for the appropriate stray holding period. I started at Kingman Animal Hospital in 2014 as a Kennel Technician then moved into Customer Service as a Receptionist. I am delighted to be working in this position as I believe Animal Welfare is my strong suit and desired life’s work. I am an active volunteer in my community for various non-profit (501c3) groups that also, share my goals towards making the animal world a better place. My passion is to decrease the number of animals that are surrendered over to the local shelters to begin with. I wanted to live in a community that shares that passion, and I’m delighted to be working for a company that is proud to set that example for everyone to see !
